The specific claim is directly supported by an authoritative primary source. This is claim-level, not a certification of all platform fields.
Composites methodology
Source-linked materials, structure, production and programme intelligence across UAV, UGV, USV and UUV.
A reproducible bridge from a sourced platform fact to a normalized composite estimate. Public audit records show the evidence; licensed analysis adds separately documented conversions, assumptions and approval.
Five evidence labels
The specific claim has corroborating independent source evidence, with conflicts and scope boundaries retained.
The company or manufacturer states the claim; it is not automatically confirmed by a public authority or independently cross-validated.
A modeled interpretation with explicit assumptions, source basis and driver; not a directly observed or measured fact.
No usable public support for the field. Missing structural mass or composite fraction means Not estimable, not zero.
Normalization protocol
Source and scope
Identify the publisher, publication date, supported claim and original URL. Record scope separately from OEM/build location. A company’s own construction statement remains Company-claimed unless independent evidence supports cross-validation.
Quantity normalization
Preserve ordered, delivered, produced, fleet, announced and assistance commitments as different event quantity bases. Convert to production-equivalent units only with a documented timing and conversion basis. Avoid double-counting a programme order, its deliveries and the same installed fleet.
Mass denominator
MTOW is the maximum takeoff mass and may include payload, fuel and equipment. Empty mass is still not a structural denominator. Normalize to structural mass only through source-supported decomposition; never apply a generic composite share directly to MTOW. A disclosed mass basis need not provide a single usable numeric mass.
Composite share and process
Use a source-supported or explicitly modeled composite fraction of the normalized structural denominator. Material presence is not a mass percentage. Keep CFRP, GFRP, AFRP, BFRP, hybrids and unspecified composites distinct; manufacturing processes are evidence fields, not automatic yield factors.
Yield, value and allocation
Net installed composite is separate from purchased material after manufacturing losses. A documented yield fraction and USD/kg price basis are necessary for purchased MT and value. End-user country, manufacturing country and OEM country are distinct dimensions. Material/process allocations require a source and cannot exceed 100% within a dimension.
Year and approval controls
The paid study catalog covers 2020–2032. Observed events and modeled years remain distinct. 2027–2032 rows need a modeled status and an explicit driver; they are never auto-carried-forward observations. Quantification is withheld unless analyst-approved and published, and access requires an administrator-granted license.
Quantitative mass & value basis
Net composite MT = production-equivalent units × normalized structural mass (kg) × composite share / 1,000
Purchased composite MT = net composite MT / manufacturing yield fraction
Purchased value (USD million) = purchased MT × 1,000 × USD/kg / 1,000,000
Composite KT = composite MT / 1,000
All fractions use the 0–1 convention. Structural denominator and composite fraction must share the same scope. Literature benchmark scaling is engineering arithmetic only, not an annual market forecast.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t MTOW be multiplied by a generic composite share?
MTOW includes nonstructural loads such as payload and fuel. The fraction must refer to the same structural denominator as the mass, with a documented normalization basis.
Does “carbon fibre” mean a known CFRP mass fraction?
No. Presence, application and percentage are different claims. A material description alone does not provide a usable composite fraction.
Are the 40 markets already populated datasets?
No. EU-27 and the 13 additional markets are the custom-study scope. Imported public records and exact scope matches define current public coverage.
Are historical engineering benchmarks current demand?
No. They are literature-derived engineering benchmarks, not measured BOMs or 2020–2032 production forecasts. They remain separate from current platform-country-year demand.
Does sign-in or a trial unlock quantitative series?
No. Only an active, unexpired, administrator-granted composites entitlement can read published, analyst-approved quantitative rows.
What happens when evidence is missing?
Unusable or missing structural mass or share returns Not estimable. Missing yield or price prevents purchased-material or value output, even if net installed mass can be calculated.
