Speartooth German evaluation acquisition: Germany contract and delivery record

C2 Robotics announced a German sale of the Speartooth Large Uncrewed Undersea Vehicle on May 20, 2026, and subsequent BAAINBw-confirmed reporting stated that the Bundeswehr had acquired one vehicle. The modular LUUV is intended for forthcoming technical evaluation by WTD 71 for experimentation with large autonomous-underwater-system concepts and payloads.

Helsing acquisition of Blue Ocean Marine Tech Systems: Acquisition in Germany

On May 29, 2026, Helsing completed its acquisition of Blue Ocean Marine Tech Systems following regulatory and legal approvals. Helsing stated that the transaction would accelerate its maritime-defence program by combining Blue Ocean's autonomous-underwater hardware expertise with Helsing's SG-1 Fathom and Lura capabilities.

European Extended Mine Countermeasures, E=MCM: Development milestone in Germany

On June 11, 2026, the European Extended Mine Countermeasures consortium held its Critical Design Review at TKMS ATLAS ELEKTRONIK in Bremen. Participating member states reviewed the system design and requirements, and the milestone marked completion of the design phase and transition toward prototyping of autonomous mine-countermeasure toolboxes and platforms.

Exercise Sea Breeze 26-2: Germany test and trial record

During Exercise Sea Breeze 26-2 from July 13-24, 2026, participating naval forces conducted mine-countermeasure, EOD, and unmanned-underwater-system training in Portland. SeaFox capability was associated with participating Ukrainian minehunters through participant and industry evidence, linking the German-origin mine-disposal system to the exercise.

Royal Navy Zulu Unit 2 SeaCat training: Germany test and trial record

On July 22, 2026, the Royal Navy reported SeaCat training for Zulu Unit 2 through the Mine and Threat Exploitation Group's Operational Conversion Unit.
